1. Normalise the term

A submitted name is treated as a research term, not an identity already confirmed. Variants, domains and legal names remain separate until a source connects them.

2. Prefer primary sources

For corporate and financial questions we prioritise registers and official pages such as CONSOB, Banca d’Italia, Registro Imprese, Polizia Postale and other competent authorities.

3. Compare identifiers

Compare names, offices, registration numbers, contacts, domains, dates and claimed activities. One match is not treated as conclusive proof.

4. Separate fact from claim

If a website says something but no independent confirmation is found, it remains a claim by that website rather than a fact. Contradictions stay visible.

5. State limitations

Public sources can be incomplete, update over time or contain errors. Missing information proves neither reliability nor irregularity.
